Feast your eyes on this game design by Kliff Kingsbury and Sean Kugler and the perfect execution of the attack.

  • 2nd and 10
  • 12 Staff (2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB) —- 84 Harris TE on right, 86 Ertz TE on left, 13 Kirk WR on left, 4 Moore WR on left, 15 Streveler QB in shotgun, 6 Conner RB on right of QB)
  • Training force: left (3 receiver side, pre-engagement)
  • Move 4 Moore from the left lunge to the right for a possible running threat to the right
  • At the snap, move 86 Ertz to the right, in order to land the play flow to the right and a possible TE shovel pass or under the formation road to the right.
  • Streveler to Conner RPO (run / pass option) transfer action, which Streveler forwards, but effectively sells the possible QB speed option executed right with Moore as the possible step option.
  • 84 Harris TE blocks right edge and exits to the right
  • 74 Humphries LT hits 43 Reddick OLB from 5 yards to the side to open the hole
  • 64 Harlow RG and 61 Hudson C double team on 97 DT and take him on a sleigh ride, while 79 Jones RG does a good seal block down on 31 FS.
  • 13 Kirk WR makes the key outside the seal block on 34 SS.
  • 6 Conner RB takes over, returns left against the initial flow to the right and cuts sharply inside the Harlow / Hudson double-team with a flurry that carries him intact into the end zone.
  • The multiplayer flow to the right with Moore, Ertz and Harris confuses the 2nd and 3rd levels of defense, as Conner runs relatively hidden until he bursts into the alley created by Kirk, Harlow , Hudson Jones.

Game variations of this formation:

  • 4 Moore WR sweep jet
  • Passing options on the right towards 84 Harris TE and 4 Moore WR and 86 Ertz TE
  • Excavator passage option on the movement on the right side towards 86 Ertz TE
  • Right-hand speed option with 15 Streveler QB and 4 Moore WR.
  • False transfer to Conner, QB 3 no drop, screen pass to each side, left 6 Conner RB or right at 86 Ertz TE

James Connor with major props to the Cardinals’ offensive line:

  • Leads the NFL in rushed TDs with 11
  • Leads the NFL in TDs total with 12
