Hollywood star Patrick Dempsey could prove to be the inspiration behind the name of a very special sheep.
Irish artisan soap company Pure Oskar recently launched an online appeal to give their Curragh sheep a pet name.
And people were quick to suggest that the former Dr Shepherd in Grey’s Anatomy would make a big woolly namesake after the actor took a sheep selfie in the run-up to filming for the Enchanted sequel in Ireland recently.
Pure Oskar Co-Founder Magda Seymour said, âWe’ve had a few suggestions like Murty, Billy and Baaaarbara.
âBut some people have suggested Shepherd, according to actor Patrick Dempsey, who recently took a selfie with sheep while filming Enchanted here with Amy Adams. Maybe Patrick could organize the christening ceremony?â
Pure Oskar, based at The Curragh, Co Kildare, launched in April after parents Magda and Tony Seymour struggled to take care of their son Oskar’s sensitive skin.
As a child, Oskar suffered from bad reactions to most skin care products. He launched parents on a journey to create natural, handmade soap with pure ingredients to suit all skin types.
The Curragh sheep was then designed for Oskar who loved sheep on his walks with Magda and Tony along the Curragh Plains when he was young.
Magda encourages people to suggest a pet name for The Curragh Sheep by following and commenting on the @pureoskar Instagram page.
The Curragh Sheep and the Complete Collection of Handcrafted Ethical Soaps are available for purchase at www.pureoskar.com alongside sustainable self-care accessories.
People can also make their own soap in the “Make Your Own Soap” section.
Disenchantment is being filmed in Enniskerry in County Wicklow and locals were delighted that the town had been completely transformed for the Disney movie.
It was recently revealed that the sequel to Disney’s hit film Enchanted, Disenchanted, will be set in Wicklow.
Locals have banded together over the past few weeks to transform their homes into stunning settings for the Enchanted Suite.
A local resident told The Irish Sun: âThe vibes in Enniskerry are absolutely amazing right now!
“Everyone brings their children to see the place and it is beautiful!”
