Lois Kilby-Chesley: candidate Breen shows common sense and cooperation

Residents living in the new State House District 98 – Durham and Pownal, and parts of Lisbon, Topsham and Bowdoin – were recently mailed an alleged “journalism” article, The Maine Anchor, which disseminates conspiracies, misinformation, lies and “alternative facts”.

Much of the space in the mailing I received was devoted to “disproving” facts about the effectiveness of masks and vaccines. I was even more appalled to see that Guy Lebida was contributing to these conspiracies while promoting his candidacy for the District 98 house in this “newspaper”.

We need representatives in Augusta who are willing to work across the aisle to find solutions that benefit all Mainers – regardless of political party. We don’t need more misinformation and attacks on elected officials, health and safety, and democracy itself.

My candidate of choice, Orion Breen, is the common sense choice for House District 98. I encourage all voters to support the candidates via maine.gov/cleanelections, and I encourage residents to join me in supporting Orion Breen.

Lois Kilby-Chesley, Durham
