Gather with family and friends to watch movies by the sea in Marina del Rey.
Marina Drive-In Movie Nights, located at 13477 Fiji Way in Parking Lot # 2, is presented by Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn, Luxury Liners and Shops at Waterside by Caruso. The series takes place every Friday and Saturday with two films showing at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. until September 5.
“Marina Drive-In Movies are all about old-fashioned entertainment from the comfort of your own car!” the event organizers said.
The cost is $ 20 per vehicle, per movie + a ticket handling fee of $ 2.32.
The films are shown on large, raised LED screens, bright enough to be seen during the day, according to the event’s organizers.
You can use the car’s FM radio to listen to the sound of the movie through a channel provided at the input. Additionally, guests can watch from the back of a trunk / tailgate or sit outside the vehicle in their own chairs.
Local restaurants nearby are open for outdoor meal, so come early and dine with a waterfront view or order take out. Or, customers can order food from on-site gourmet food trucks or bring their own food and drinks.
Looking to get the most out of the experience? Make it a stay and enjoy daytime activities like kayaking, whale watching or just a sunset stroll along the water at Boardwalk MdR stores, Fishing Village or Burton Park Chace.
