Omodt brings civil and collaborative common sense

In the style of the classic 1987 film Good Morning Vietnam, it’s time for our own revival: “Hello, Bonner County!”

The 2022 primary election is undoubtedly one of the most critical we have ever had in my 60 years of voting here. Candidates abound. We have candidates who appeal to your fears, founded or not. Candidates whose idea of building themselves is to tear down opponents – even by resorting to vicious untruths. Applicants who claim experience and/or training but give no details.

It is time to listen carefully, to watch, to read, to study, to learn before voting. Don’t be fooled by people who have been busy reinventing themselves since their arrival and working diligently to convince you that they have all the answers.

Our local problems will be solved with people like Luke Omodt at the helm. Luke is articulate and his intelligence is evident in every conversation with him. He is a good listener. He will bring civil and collaborative common sense to the table. Now more than ever, we need Luke locally to find reasonable and acceptable ways to get through these difficult times.
