Tesla has filed a new trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office, but it’s not for Cyberquad itself. Instead, the patent covers two classes: games, toys and sporting goods, and clothing.

In November 2019, Tesla unveiled the all-electric Cybertruck. An all-electric pickup capable of insane performance specifications, CEO Elon Musk deployed the Cybertruck with lead designer Franz von Holzhausen at the company’s Design Studio in Hawthorne, Calif. By the end of the presentation, everyone thought the Cybertruck was all Tesla was revealing that night until Musk said that an ATV, designed in the same way as the Cybertruck, was also slated to be. introduced in the coming years.

Tesla’s electric mountain bike will be available as an option for Cybertruck pickup, says Elon Musk

However, no real details have been disclosed by Tesla or anyone for that matter. Tesla filed a trademark application for the Cyberquad in September 2019 in six different categories in the United States: “Vehicles”, “Electrical Apparatus, Machines and Supplies”, “Coutlery, Machinery, Tools, Tuyaux, packaging de machines et tires non metal ”and finally“ Dental, medical and surgical appliances ”. Internationally, this mark is classified as “Vehicles; apparatus for locomotion by land, air or water.

The trademark application for Cyberquad was filed on September 23 and will be assigned to a reviewing lawyer “approximately six months from the filing date”. This brand will likely be used for some Cyberquad clothing in Tesla’s online store.

Interestingly, Tesla does not yet own the Cyberquad brand itself. The most recent update to that timeline came in April when the USPTO granted Tesla an extension after the automaker requested an “extension of time to file a declaration of use.”

Regarding the Cyberquad itself, Musk said in 2019 that the two-person ATV would first be an option for the Cybertruck as an add-on. The most recent development regarding the Cyberquad was that Musk wanted to release the ATV at the same time as the Cybertruck. Tesla recently pushed back the Cybertruck’s planned production date to the end of 2022, almost a year later than originally planned.
