She is widely known for playing beloved Dr. Josephine Wilson on the hit ABC medical drama series Shonda Rhimes. Camilla joined the show in season nine with the first episode “Going, Going, Gone” as a surgical intern.

The 38-year-old is also widely known for portraying Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider Games. But before her life in America, she made the city of Ascot her home and attended an all-girls school there.

Camilla even played another girl from Berkshire who grabs the cameras daily. The actress played Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, in the film ‘William and Kate’ – which chronicles the ups and downs of courting nine years with the prince.

After completing her schooling at Ascot, she attended the American School in England at Thorpe in Surrey. At the age of 18, she enrolled in a school in Pennsylvania and soon after moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

However, Ascot is a hotspot for the cameras and shines a spotlight on its annual horse racing event – Royal Ascot. At the moment, the municipality is preparing for the 2022 season.

Thousands of people are expected to flock to the city next week donning their finest dresses for the highly anticipated event. It’s one of the Queen’s favorite events of the year.

Other things to do in town include a round of golf at one of the nearby courses such as Sunningdale Golf Course or Mill Ride Golf Club. A short drive away is Savill Garden, which is one of the most ornate ornamental gardens in the UK.

While Camilla flew to America years ago, she still returns home to visit family in a nearby village of Crowthorne.
