The role of Peter Gallagher in season 18 of “Grey’s Anatomy” is major


An old CO The star takes a trip to the West Coast to wash up at Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital. After season 17 of Grey’s Anatomy plunged in tragic losses and the coronavirus pandemic, sunny California energy was exactly what the doctor ordered for the coming season. And it looks like Peter Gallagher’s Grey’s Anatomy The Season 18 role will bring some major revelations, as her character has some sort of connection to Meredith’s mother.

Gallagher will play a new character named Dr Alan Hamilton in season 18, Weekly entertainment confirmed. Not much is known about Alan yet, but fans can expect some dramatic twists and turns when he enters Gray Sloan, as he apparently knew Meredith’s mother, Ellis Gray, at the time and probably knows some secrets about it. Speaking of Ellis, Kate Burton confirmed to reprise her role as Meredith’s troubled mother for several episodes of season 18. As fans know, Ellis passed away throughout season 3, but she has appeared in episodes since in Meredith’s Dreams. It’s unclear exactly how Ellis will return from the dead this time around, but it may have something to do with the coronavirus-induced beach hallucination Meredith was in throughout Season 17, which constantly featured long-lost characters.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Gallagher has tackled network drama. He is best known for playing the idealistic and supportive father Sandy Cohen during the four seasons of CO


Since then he has had notable roles on tons of other hit TV shows, including Grace and Frankie, New girl, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, and Unity.

Grey’s Anatomy fans won’t have to wait long to meet Gallagher’s new character – it’s confirmed that Dr. Alan Hamilton will meet Meredith in the Season 18 premiere. Ellis will also appear in the first episode, and from this as we know of Alan, it looks like Ellis will be a big part of this season.
